Our Solutions

Sustainable and efficient logistics and procurement

We are strengthening the medical equipment market structures to support the scaling of MNCH devices in sub-Saharan Africa. Hatch works with local distribution partners to identify robust and affordable MNCH devices and register them in the national medical device registration bodies. We are expanding our product portfolio using a selection criterion that relies on market experience and user feedback.

Comprehensive distribution and technical support

In resource-limited settings, medical equipment suppliers often prioritize cost over quality and healthcare outcomes, neglecting critical factors such as user needs, maintenance requirements, and the availability of consumables and spare parts, which affect device usage.

Hatch collaborates with manufacturers to provide clinical and technical training for distributors, staff, and other involved parties.

Building and enhancing the next-generation MNCH market

Current MNCH distributors often face stockouts due to the long payment terms and delayed payments from health providers. This overstretches their capacity to have enough stocks that are needed throughout. The traditional means of financing the end-users has its challenges which leads to users defaulting and hence does not yield enough demand creation for MNCH products.

Hatch utilizes working capital funds provided by the program to purchase stocks for the distributors.
